‘I’ve Been To Hell And Back,’ American Actor, Jamie Foxx Says After Illness
The actor said he was working to return.
American Actor Jamie Foxx has thanked his fans for their support while he was hospitalized earlier this year.
The actor said he was working to return.
“Thank u a billion to everybody… been a long road but all the prayers great people and God got me through…. 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️,” the actor posted on Instagram on Saturday.
His family did not disclose details of his health challenges but in April, his daughter Corrine Foxx said he had experienced a “medical complication”.
In his post on Saturday, the actor also thanks his family for keeping details about his ill health away from the public, adding that he was not blind or paralysed as
“I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,” he said.
He said he didn’t want his fans to see “tubes running through me” but “to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie [or] television show.”
“My sister Deidra Dixon, my daughter Corrine really saved my life,” he said.
“I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let nothing out.
“They protected me, and that’s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these,” he added.
The actor was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia, where he had been filming a Netflix movie, ‘Back In Action’ alongside co-star Cameron Diaz.
In his video, Foxx said he had been “to hell and back”.
According to him, his “road to recovery had some potholes as well”.
He, however, assured his fans that he was “coming back and I’m able to work”.
