I’ve Done My Best To Serve Buhari, I’ve Packed All My Bags In Aso Rock, Leaving Like Schoolboy– Femi Adesina
President Muhammadu Buhari’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, has stated that he has packed his bags and is prepared to depart the Presidential Villa in Abuja by May 29, when the President is scheduled to leave office.
In his most recent essay, Adesina described how he transitioned from journalism to serving as President Buhari’s media advisor.
The presidential spokesman stated, “All things are now ready,” in the report. I wrote last week about clearing out and cleaning my office at State House in the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The task is now complete, and the office is now anticipating its new occupant, the Adviser on Media to the incoming President, just like a bride awaits her groom.
About 38 days have passed since that time. “Love goes toward love, as schoolboys from their books,” wrote William Shakespeare in Romeo and Juliet. After serving in government for eight years, it is how I anticipate my future endeavors.
I have done my best to serve Muhammadu Buhari, who is known as the Mai Gaskiya (honest guy) and is from Daura in Katsina State. I have stood by his side through thick and thin. been threatened, called names, excoriated, and flagellated. However, there I was. entire range. Sometimes covered with blood, but never bowed. Now that my luggage are packed and I’m prepared to leave, I’m a schoolboy away from his books, cheerfully, like love moves toward love. Do you still hear Sonya Spence’s song, Jet Plane?
But we must say goodbye. Permit me to express my gratitude to everyone who worked in the position I held for the past eight years today. Like I have attempted to do, they too diligently served their masters. I have previously written about them, both alive and dead, but today I provide an updated version.
“Whatever people want to think or say about those who served before me, they have all succeeded in different ways. They gave their leaders loyal service. Likewise, I made an effort. Let me use Shakespeare’s famous line once more when I leave in 38 days: “If we do meet again, why, we shall smile; if not, this parting was well made.”
