IYC 2020: Vote According to Your Conscience, Mayor Campaign Organisation Tells Delegates

TRACKING ___Ahead of July 18th and 19th Ijaw Youth Council National Elective Convention at Oporoza, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State. Comrade Mayor Ala Hart Campaign Organization has appealed to delegates of the convention to vote according to their conscience and think more of the corporate interest of the Ijaw Nation rather than individual gains.
“Delegates should realize that what is at stake is the future of Ijaw Nation, it is therefore a unique privilege on their part to be part of the process that will lead to the eventual emergence of a new IYC and the ushering in of unprecedented change and activism,” the Ala campaign organization said.
In a statement, the Mayor Ala Campaign Organization stated that its Candidate, comrade Mayor Ala Hart, having served the Ijaw nation in different fold is better placed than any other Candidate to further push the laudable programmes, Activities, positive agitation and objectives of the Ijaw Youth Council world wide.
The statement further stated that “as a stakeholder of the council, he has been one of the key pillars of council activities and programmes as well as the stabilizing factor of recent Administrations, given his wonderful human relations and kind disposition and willingness to listen to people.
“It is obvious that the national election will either make or break the Council more, depending on how credible and transparent the entire process will be as we already noted with dismay that the recent clan and zonal nominations to select delegates was a shame and orchestrated to favour a particular aspirant, when the leadership of the council ought to be neutral.
He also tasked all his fellow contestants to demonstrate sportsmanship before, during and after the contest, adding that only one of them would win the election.
He thanked Barr. Bekewei Ajuwa for his efforts, describing him and his Eleco members as “People we have confidence in.”
