Izon microfinance bank congratulates Gov. Diri.

The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Izon Micro Finance Bank Ltd congratulate the Governor, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujadkpo, on their victory at the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division on Thursday, on the appeal of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate Chief Timipre Sylva.
The Court of Appeal had dismissed the appeal for lacking merit and affirmed the decision of the Bayelsa Governorship Election Tribunal, which had upheld the November 11, 2023 re-election of Governor Douye Diri.

The chairman, Dr Ayakeme Whisky in a press statement issued on behalf of the board and management of the bank said with the out come at the Appeal Court yesterday it was a moment to relish the fact that indeed power belongs to God. While savoring the victory the Chairman stated that the choice and victory of Governor Douye Diri is divinely ordained and therefore can’t be challenged by any mortal. It is a definite affirmation the mandate of the duo has the guiding hand of God.
Dr. Whisky appealed to the Governor to remain focused on the arduous task of governance to make the state an investment hub to improve the living standards of Bayelsans.
He thanked Bayelsans for their abiding faith in the prosperity administration and patience and urged the Governor to percolate to all nooks and crannies the dividends of democracy as he has often done.
The Chairman noted that God doesn’t sleep and will always reward his children with a dedicated heart of service to uplift humanity. What Governor Diri has been doing since assumption of office defines his commitment to changing the face of governance to satisfy the yearnings of the people of the state. Hence he is protected by the banner of God’s love.
The board chairman urged the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress Chief Timipre Sylva to accept defeat and stop investing his resources on meaningless litigations that will lead nowhere. It’s is unimaginable to think that victory can be secured on the basis of few wards where obviously the people were denied the right to vote in the normal course of election.
He advised Chief Timipre Sylva to take the judgement in good faith and allow peace reign in the state. Appealing the judgment is like a wild goose chase.
Dr. Whisky enjoined the Governor to continue to be the magnanimous father of the state he is, and settle down to governance without any further distractions.
