***As He Celebrates His 67th Birthday.
A nongovernmental organization, Wind of Hope Foundation, has extolled former President Goodluck Jonathan, describing him as a beacon of hope to future Nigerian leaders.
The group also said Jonathan is “champion of democracy, good governance, and human development.”
The group’s commendation was contained in a goodwill message signed by its National Coordinator, Mr. Ono Akpe, to mark the 67th birthday of the former Nigerian leader.
“On behalf of the Wind of Hope Foundation, the official biography project of His Excellency (Dr) Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, I, Mr. Ono K. Akpe, National Coordinator, wish to extend our warmest felicitations to you Sir on the occasion of your birthday.
“As we celebrate this special day, we reflect on your remarkable legacy as a champion of democracy, good governance, and human development.
“Your commitment to the well-being of the Nigerian people and your tireless efforts to promote peace and stability across the globe are a testament to your exceptional leadership,” the statement read in part.
According to Akpe, Jonathan, throughout his illustrious career, has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to the principles of democracy, justice, and equality.
The group’s coordinator added that Jonathan’s decision to concede defeat in the 2015 presidential election, despite the intense political climate, earned him international recognition.
“We are reminded of the profound impact you have had on our nation. Your story serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration to future generations of Nigerian leaders.
Once again, we wish you a happy birthday and many more years of good health, happiness, and continued service to our great nation,” the statement noted.
