Recall that Yabo was a founding member of the APC and a member of the defunct ‘Amaechi for President’ campaign team.

Yabo, who has now vowed his support to the PDP, annouced that there is now a cabal in APC that every office-seeking politician or member who wants to be involved in the progress of the nation or the State must join.

Track News Nigeria learnt that Yabo who was a former Commissioner for Information, as well as Solid Minerals in the State, was received by Governor Tambuwal, his Deputy, Manir Muhammad Dan Iya, as well as the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bello Muhammad among other government officials at Government House, Sokoto on Thursday.

When asked to speak on his reasons for his defection, the new entrant claimed that his former party lacked internal democracy and was full of favouritism and bootlicking.

According to him: “The APC in Sokoto has formed a cabal of which you must be a member to have anything to do with the party or to be involved in the progress of the nation or the State”.

He assured that by the grace of God, himself and his supporters will back Team Tambuwal, the PDP governorship candidate in the State and all other candidates in the State under the PDP and even beyond, at the Presidency.
