JUST IN: Body of young man found on refuse dump in Makurdi
The lifeless body of a young man has been discovered on a refuse dump on Sunday morning in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
The victim, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, displayed signs of brutalization, indicative of a suspected cult clash.
The gruesome discovery was near Iorpuu Adai Street, Nyiman Layout, HUDCO quarters, in Makurdi, according to The Nation.

The young man’s hands were found tied behind his back, and he was missing one ear. His assailants had callously placed his body in a sack before dumping it on the refuse heap.
Worshippers made the shocking find on their way to the morning service on Sunday.
The report noted that, as of now, the police have not been informed of the incident, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death are yet to commence.
