JUST IN: Buhari appoints new officials

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Aminu Umar-Sadiq as the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority’s new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (NSIA).
According to Track News, Umar-appointment Sadiq’s follows the expiration of Uche Orji’s tenure, which ended on September 30, 2022, after serving two five-year terms following his appointment on October 2, 2012.
Yunusa Tanko Abdullahi, the Finance Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, revealed this in a statement made available to this newspaper on Monday night.
Aminu Umar-Sadiq, Executive Director and Head of Infrastructure, holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford (Saint John’s College) in Oxford, United Kingdom (UK).
He holds the Archbishop Tutu Leadership Fellowship (ATLF) as well as the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF).
He was a member of the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, an investment fund focused on the implementation of five strategic national transportation and power projects.
