JUST-IN; CBN Deputy Gov. Aisha Ahmad, jets out of the country after her release by SIP

TrackNews gathered that Aisha, who is being grilled by the Jim Obazee-led Special Investigations Panel (SIP) investigating the CBN, was released a few days ago and has jetted out of the country.
The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in charge of Financial System Stability (FSS), Aisha Ahmad, has traveled out of the country.
TrackNews gathered that Aisha, who is being grilled by the Jim Obazee-led Special Investigations Panel (SIP) investigating the CBN, was released a few days ago and has jetted out of the country.
Our reporter gathered that she has gone to represent the Central Bank at a meeting overseas.
President Bola Tinubu had in July appointed the special panel to investigate the apex bank following the arrest and prosecution of the suspended CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, over alleged financial infractions, award of contracts running into billions of Naira and dollars and fraud.
Ahmad was reportedly arrested over her “alleged fraudulent acquisition of shares in Polaris Bank, Titan Bank/Union Bank, Persecondnews learnt.
She is also being interrogated on how $300 million to complete the acquisition of Union Bank was raised by Titan Bank.
