JUST-IN: Female Company CEO Jailed Over Forex Scam

Fatima Suleiman, the 56-year-old Chairman/CEO of Jamilma Multilinks Logistics Services Limited, was sentenced to prison by an FCT High Court in Abuja for her involvement in a forex scam.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Abuja Zonal Command obtained her conviction before Justice J.O. Onwuegbuzie of the FCT High Court in Apo-Abuja.
Suleiman was found guilty of dishonestly converting N4,000,000 that was given to her for conversion to US dollars by one Chigozie Ezeagu.
She had pleaded not guilty at her arraignment, which resulted in a full trial.
The defendant was found guilty of the charge brought against her by Justice Onwuegbuzie.
As a result, he convicted her and sentenced her to three years in prison without the option of a fine.
The convict must also pay N3,000,000 in restitution to Ezeagu.
