JUST-IN; I inherited huge liabilities, empty treasury – Zamfara Gov,
Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has officially been sworn in as the 5th executive governor of Zamfara State and is expected to pilot the affairs of the state in the next four years.
The oath of offices for the governor and his Deputy was administered by the State’s chief judge, justice Kulu Aliyu.
In his speech, the new governor said he will focus mainly on security, agriculture, health and human development, stressing that he met an empty treasury from the immediate past administration.
He appealed to the people to support him and bear with his administration because he inherited huge liabilities, assuring the people of the state that he would do everything within his constitutional power not to disappoint them as they massively voted for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“Those bandits that have refused to repent, I appeal to you to drop your arms and let us work together to reposition Zamfara State.”
