JUST IN: Tinubu meets Governors in closed door meeting
President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) in a bid to finding remedies to rising cost of food items, insecurity and other economic issues.
The meeting which commenced around 11:30am is holding at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FTC) Chief Nyesom Wike; and Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. are also at the meeting.
The emergency meeting, it was learnt, would be followed immediately with the monthly National Economic Council (NEC) meeting to be presided over by Vice President Shettima.
It was gathered the ongoing emergency meeting is expected to come out with the solution on how to mitigate the rising cost of food items, insecurity and other economic issues.
Ekiti, Delta, Borno, Lagos, Kwara, Nasarawa and Edo Governors were some sighted entering the Council Chambers for the meeting.
Governors of Yobe, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Abia, Plateau, Kaduna, Sokoto, Niger, Taraba, Adamawa, Cross River, Ogun and Enugu were also spotted.
