TRACKING>>Former governor of Abia State and Abia North senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has dismissed an alleged plans to rig the Saturday’s presidential and the National Assembly elections as being bandied by his opponent and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mao Ohuabunwa, describing Ohuabunwa as a drowning man who knew that his days in the senate were numbered.

Apparently reacting to Ohuabunwa’s allegations yesterday, alleging that Kalu had perfected plans to rig the rescheduled elections in his favour, the former governor described them as pure fallacy and coming from a drowning man who knew that his time at the senate was over.
Kalu, who spoke through his media aide, Maduka Okoro, said that he was not the President of Nigeria who had total control of the agencies overseeing the conduct of election, urging “Ohuabunwa should face his campaign and leave me alone as we will meet on the elections day. Here is a man who is aware that Kalu has no control over security agencies in the state.”

Kalu went on: “Ohuabunwa should thank God that he has been to the senate for four years when he should be at his laboratory diagnosing specimen, a man who could only give frying pan as empowerment should be examined.”
