By Adeleye Kunle
Kingsley ‘Kanunta’ Kanu, brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has condemned the killing of seven youths by an Ebubeagu security operative in Oru East Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State on Sunday.
According to Track News, they were killed while returning from a traditional wedding in Awomama, Oru East LGA.
Kingsley, who accused Imo and Ebonyi state governors Hope Uzodinma and Dave Umahi of “competing in killing Igbo youths,” put the death toll at 14.
“Today’s massacre of 14 innocent #Biafran youths in Awo omamma by Gov. Uzodinma’s Ebubeagu militia in Imo state is unacceptable and must be condemned.”
@Govhopeuzodinma and @DaveUmahi are competing in the killing of #BiafranYouths,” Kingsley tweeted on Monday.
Micheal Abattam, the Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that Mohammed Ahmed Barde, the Commissioner of Police, has ordered an investigation into the killing.
