Kanu: “We Are Not Fools, Nobody Can Say What’s Going On, Tinubu Will Be Respected In Igboland,” Ohanaeze
The president-general of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has called for the release of the detaibed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
He made this call during an interview with Punch Newspaper, while reacting to the recent comment by Niger Delta leader, Asari Dokubo, asking Tinubu not to release Nnamdi Kanu.
Chief Iwuanyanwu established that the Igbos have invested a lot in Nigeria and that the 1966 coup d’etat that has brought this long enmity between Igbos and other tribes in Nigeria was in fact caused by forces beyond the control of Igbos.
According to the president-general, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Will become highly respected in Nigeria and Igboland if he considers doing just one act – to release Nnamdi Kanu…
Speaking in proverbs, Chief Iwuanyanwu said, “Tinubu is my friend and a friend to the Igbo and he should know that there is a thing in Igboland. When a child is crying and is pointing somewhere, definitely the child is seeing something.
He should know that we are not fools and nobody can tell Igbos what is happening in Igboland. The release of Nnamdi Kanu is very important to us and if Tinubu releases him it would make him highly respected in Nigeria and in Igboland.
He has not killed anybody and he has not been charged with murder. Kanu should have in fact been released since and right now he is sick.”
