Kanu’s health is getting worse as he is being held by the DSS, according to his attorney

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the IPOB’s primary attorney, reported on Monday that Nnamdi Kanu, the group’s detained leader, has been suffering from worsening health inside the Director of State Services, or DSS, detention facility.
After visiting Kanu at the DSS prison facility in Abuja, Ejiofor made this statement to reporters in Owerri.
He claimed that the DSS employees hindered his doctor Kanu’s attempts to handle his medical problems.
The normal court-ordered visit to Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who has been kept in solitary confinement for more than 14 months, has just ended, according to Ejiofor, at the DSS Headquarters in Abuja.
The visit’s main focus was looking over additional lawsuits that have been filed against the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) for gravely violating international laws and treaties when they kidnapped Onyendu and extraordinary rendition, as well as for damages related to this act of state terrorism.
“The visit also gave us a chance to assess Onyendu’s general well-being and the degree to which the DSS was adhering to the court’s order in managing his medical condition.
“For the record, it is important to reiterate that the lawless DSS has repeatedly treated the existing Court Order—which specifically directed that Onyendu should be granted access to his doctor for an independent review/investigation of his current health status—with the utmost contempt and disdain. This comes after his potassium level continued to decline.
Unfortunately, the DSS seriously violates this court order while acting with impunity, as seen by their refusal to allow Onyendu’s personal doctor to visit him in the DSS facility where he is now being held.
“As a result of continuous heartburn, Onyendu is currently suffering from gastro intestinal illness, which necessitates the constant use of antacids and other available medical treatments. Unfortunately, the DSS has refused to allow him have even the smallest amount of the prescribed painkiller, which could have given him short-term respite,” he stated.
