The Action Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate for Abia State’s Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency seat in the 2023 general election, Paul Meregini, expressed sadness over the incident in a condolence message issued to newsmen in Umuahi, the state capital.

Meregini stated that the deceased engaged in inclusive and development-oriented politics, which endeared him to his party members and the general public.

He went on to say that the late Ugboajah was a team player who was only concerned with what was best for the people and was never sentimental about issues affecting development in Abia, the southeast, and Nigeria as a whole.
