Kidnapping Foiled in Okuru-Ama, Port Harcourt as Security Team Rescues 12-Year-Old Girl
A 12-year-old girl who was kidnapped in Eleme, Rivers State, has been successfully rescued in the Okuru-Ama community of Port Harcourt. The swift intervention of local security personnel led to the arrest of the suspect and the safe recovery of the victim.
Community leaders confirmed the development, highlighting the coordinated efforts that led to the rescue. The Chairman of the Okuru-Ama Community Development Committee (CDC), Rowland Ibiewari, praised the security team for their prompt response and the residents for their cooperation in uncovering the crime.
According to Ibiewari, once the community received information about the kidnapping, security operatives launched an immediate investigation. Searches and interviews were conducted, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect. The suspect has since been handed over to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
