Kogi 2023: Dino Melaye Tried to Mock Tinubu During Campaign, Nobody Takes Him Seriously -PDP’s Tonye Adoki

A chieftain of the PDP and a supporter of Governor Nyesom Wike in Rivers State, Hon. Tonye Adoki, has waded into the argument between his principal and the PDP governorship aspirant in Kogi State, Dino Melaye. In his interview, the Rivers State Assembly member revealed some of Dino’s antecedents that could affect his chances at the governorship election.

Addressing the topic, Adoki said, “Dino is rarely taken seriously by Nigerians when he talks. I call that during the PDP campaign train, Dino embarrassed himself on stage where he tried to insult Tinubu, a man old enough to be his father. You may remember that Dino fell to the ground while trying to mock Tinubu. This should tell you how serious he is.

He added, “Dino has a habit of saying things to PDP leaders in a bid to gain favors.” I heard Dino talk about how Governor Wike supported his governorship ambitions in 2019 and even gave him a private jet to attend his primaries. However, Dino lost that election woefully. Now, Wike is saying that Dino cannot win the Kogi governorship election. The PDP does not want to lose Kogi State anymore.
