Kogi: Justice Majebi Pulls Up A Six-Man Committee On Complaints

The Kogi State judiciary under its acting Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Majebi, has set up a six-man Committee on Complaints on Promotions, Appointments and Seniority.

While speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the six-man committee at the state High Court premises in Lokoja, Justice Majebi who made the announcement noted that it was in a bid to ensure smooth, efficient and speedy administration of justice in the state.

The Chief Judge explained that the committee is expected to receive complaints from aggrieved members of staff of the high court over issues relating to appointments, promotions and seniority, adding that they are mandated to investigate the complaints and make suitable recommendations as it deemed fit.

The Chairman of the committee, Justice Alaba Omoloye Ajileye, appreciated Justice Majebi for kicking off his new office well by giving all and sundry the hope that the state judiciary will be great again.

In an interview with Justice Ajileye, he told Track News Nigeria that he has pledged to the CJ of his commitment and support of his brother Judges to join hands with him to move the state high court forward.

He described him as a trailblazer for “setting a precedent in the annals of the history of the state judiciary.

“You have shifted from the paradigm of exclusiveness to one of exclusivity.”
