Kogi State Govt Urged To Arrest Inspector Ismalla And His Gang in Ejule

The Kogi State government is facing mounting pressure to take action against Inspector Ismaila and his associates in Ejule, who are reportedly moving about with dangerous weapons without any repercussions. This situation is particularly alarming given that Ejule is the hometown of Deputy Governor Elder Joel Oyibo, raising serious concerns about the rule of law and the government’s accountability.
Residents are increasingly worried about the blatant disregard for safety, as individuals roam freely with weapons, putting innocent lives at risk. The lack of intervention from authorities has led to suspicions of complicity, with many questioning why these thugs and kidnappers can operate with impunity.
“If the home of a Deputy Governor is not safe, then where else can we find safety in Kogi State, especially in Kogi East?” a concerned citizen remarked. The state government and security agencies cannot claim ignorance of Inspector Ismaila’s activities, as pictorial and video evidence of his actions circulate widely online.
Reports suggest that this same group is allegedly plotting against leaders and supporters of the SDP candidate from the last election, with several members already sustaining injuries in the community and surrounding areas.
It is imperative for Deputy Governor Oyibo to demonstrate his commitment to justice by addressing the actions of Inspector Ismaila and his gang. Failure to act may suggest complicity with these criminal elements.
The community is calling for a thorough investigation into this matter, urging the government to take swift and transparent action against lawlessness and potential collusion with criminal activities. The safety and security of the people should be the highest priority, and it is crucial for those in power to restore trust and ensure justice.
