Kwankwaso rally: NNPP accuses Ganduje of planning chaos in Kano

As the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP, plans its final presidential campaign rally today, Thursday, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has also issued a statement indicating to hold a similar procession with Governor Ganduje leading.
The State Chairman of NNPP, Haruna Doguwa told newsmen that they wrote to the police one week ago, informing them that their Presidential Candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso planned to hold a final rally in Kano just like any other presidential candidate.
“But to our utmost dismay, the APC is also coming out on a similar rally, in an open attack on us and trying hard to create violence and uncertainties in the ancient City”, Doguwa alleged.
Doguwa alleged that APC is attacking their members and that the planned grand rally was organized intentionally to create violence in the State.
He similarly explained that just last week, they were attacked by the APC thugs around Gaya when they were on campaign,
APC Municipal Local Government Chairman, Hafizu Alfindiki was quoted announcing on his social media platform that the Party was coming out en masse for their grand rally on Thursday.
When contacted on what they are doing to prevent possible violence between the two rival political parties, the State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Yakubu said they were on top of the situation.
The Police Commissioner explained that they would do all they could to ensure that Kano remained peaceful no matter the threat
