Labour Party Replies Tinubu After He Begs Tribunal To Disqualify Peter Obi From Any Possible Rerun
The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC), has reacted to a recent petition submitted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu requesting the Presidential Election Tribunal to disqualify Peter Obi from any possible rerun. Recall that in a petition submitted by counsel to Mr Tinubu, the President claimed that only he and Atiku Abubakar should contest in case of any possible rerun. He, therefore, begged the court to disqualify Peter Obi.
Reacting to the development in a statement released by the Head Media, Obi-Datti Campaign Council, Diran Onifade, the Labour Party described Tinubu’s petition as a devilish and desperate move to stop Obi from reclaiming his mandate. According to Onifade, the mission is aimed at confusing the public and distracting them from real matters on the ground regarding the 2023 general elections.
Obi-Datti Media office has noted how a worried ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and its Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu are even wishing and pleading with the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal PEPC to consider pairing them with ATIKU Abubakar of the PDP instead of Obi. Obi-Datti Media recalls that last week the same rogue agents had claimed that Obi granted an interview on Arise Television saying he is willing to take defeat and wait for elections 2027.” Part of the statement reads
