Lagos governor to inaugurate three housing estates Thursday

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will on Thursday inaugurate three housing projects located at Gbagada, Odo-Onosa Ayandelu and Agbowa.
This is part of the activities lined up to round off his first term.
The projects, according to Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, are another testament to the governor’s determination to reduce housing deficit.
The estates are Ndubuisi Kanu Estate in Gbagada, LagosHoms Odo Onosa/Odo-Ayandelu and Resettlement Scheme both in Agbowa.
Ndubuisi Kanu Housing Estate, Gbagada with 72 home units comprising 48 two bedrooms and 24 three bedrooms apartments is one of the choice housing schemes completed by the Sanwo-Olu administration.
This housing project was initiated to provide more decent homes for Lagosians living in the metropolis, Akinderu-Fatai said.
The gated estate, made up of six blocks on 9.41 hectares, has the following infrastructure: well-connected roads, car park, generators for sewage and water services, external electrification, overhead tank water, mini mart and community hall.

The commissioner said the Resettlement Scheme in Agbowa is on the same axis with Odo-Onosa-Ayandelu, with 144 units for displaced people; four blocks of two-bedroom (48 Units) and four blocks of one-bedroom (96 Units) on 8.8 square meters.
“Other complementary infrastructure includes water reticulation, gate houses, electricity transformer, car parks, access road and external drains,” he said.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, said the three projects to be inaugurated were completed from budgetary allocations and assured the citizenry of the continued governmental interventions in housing provision.
