According to Report From VANGUARD, The hopes of 28-year-old Ogubode Adedamola, a recent graduate of Lagos State University (LASU), to join his peers in the upcoming convocation on April 3, 2025, have been dashed following his alleged murder by a pastor. Adedamola, who graduated in 2024 with a degree in Political Science Education and was the CEO of Horlar Edu Consultancy, went missing on January 16, 2025.

His girlfriend, who has chosen to remain anonymous, reported that she last spoke with him on the day of his disappearance. Adedamola informed her he was in front of the CCC Ileri Oluwa Parish, LASU 2, but never returned her call. Following her account, the police visited the church, where the pastor, Evangelist Whepetoji Babaniyeh, denied any knowledge of Adedamola’s whereabouts.

Subsequent investigations revealed a N1.5 million transfer from Adedamola’s account on the day he went missing, part of which was traced to the pastor and his daughter’s bank accounts. Initially denying the transaction, the pastor later claimed it was a Thanksgiving offering, after the police presented evidence.
