Lawmaker Hail Diri, Dickson, For Cassava Processing Factory In His Constituency
Saturday 16th June 2021, was truly a memorable day in Sagbama Constituency 1, which is host to the multi-billion naira cassava processing plant executed by former Governor and senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial district.
The member representing Sagbama Constituency 1, Hon.(Dr) Godbless Oyinke speaking to newsmen immediately after a pre-commissioning visit by the governor of Bayelsa State thank his Excellency Sen. Douye Diri on behalf of his constituent for the elaborate step to make this historical commissioning a reality.
He said he has a strong hope that this project with it’s 240 metric tonnes input and 60 metric tonnes output per day processing capacity, the largest in West Africa , has the capacity to transform the economic future of his constituency and the entire state. Adding that seeing the machines running was such a beautiful inspiring experience.
Dr Oyinke said he was using this opportunity to call on his constituents to be prepared to be part of this gigantic life changing project calling on all our people to embrace the prosperity message of the government by taking advantage of opportunities offered by the processing plants.
Hon.(Dr) Godbless Oyinke thanked his leader and mentor H.E. Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson for the vision to conceive , construct and complete the project.
He also thanked our miracle governor for pursuing the virtues and ideals of continuity saying this is one of the reason his constituent fought so hard with all the political capital to produce the highest number of votes for PDP in the entire state during the last governorship elections. Thanking the prosperity governor for not letting his constituents down.
He also thanked the people of Ebedebiri community for their unflinching support for the project, for provision of land to the friendly community relation during the period of execution.
Dr Oyinke says the challenge before government now, is to look for a world class, private reputable company, devoid of political sentiments to run the plant.
