Don’t Support Egotistic Leaders That Is Aim At Disrupting The Existing Peace Amongst Us- Hon Oki Tony Charge Bayelsa State Youths.

The Chairman Niger Delta Self Determination Movement Bayelsa State Chapter,Hon Oki Tony who also double as the National Secretary IYC Action Committee Worldwide, has emphasized the need for the youths of Bayelsa state to play critical roles in the forthcoming general elections in order to maintain peace among themselves and as well given room for development in their various domains.

Oki stated this in his Yenagoa, shortly after accompanying the National President of IYC Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo on an official inspection tour of the Bayelsa State International Cargo Airport project embarked by Gov. Henry Seriake Dickson.

Addressing the youths in Yenagoa on a Theme Title , “Achieving Behavioral Change Towards Peaceful Elections in Niger Delta region,” where he , stressed the important roles of the youths in terms of sustaining peace in Niger Delta region.

Speaking further, Oki also reiterated the need for the youths to work together to achieve one goal irrespective of the political parties and ideologies they represents or belong to, by jointly apply a strategic approach to determine the future.

According to him as a youth “it is our civic responsibility to determine credible human capacity developers, infrastructural, bridge builders, erudite that will represent the interest of the electorates. Therefore leaders that is oriented with these categories should be our focus rather than supporting egotistical leaders that is aim at disrupting and distablising the peace amongst us.

“Thus”our decision must be the best and must stand on the overall interest of our region in order to actualize the self realisation of the Ijaw Man.

Oki Tony reveals that, the state executive of Niger Delta Self Determination Movement will visit communities within his jurisdiction after the forthcoming official inauguration of the Local Government and ward executives of Movement in the state, to embark on sensitization campaign on the needs for youths to jointly work together to ensure that our region is peaceful in the forth coming general elections that is fast approaching.

He also reveals that, the programme/campaign will be design as a strongest messages and strategies to change the mindset of the youths during the campaign period and as well as to promote peace, unity, among our youths.

While interacting with the youths “Oki said he’s using this medium to sound a serious warning to political godfathers not to impose candidate on the us (electorates), allow us to choose credible candidates through our awareness. He stressed that, as a self determination activists our focus is based on peace, good and non violence leaders. He also encourage the teaming members and youths to be fully involved in the forthcoming elections with violent free.

In his final words, he admonished youths not to be tools to greedy self-centered politicians but support only those who see our unity as their number one priority, he said”,
