Man in NDLEA net in Rivers for 1.6kg Meth

The Rivers State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested Damian Onuoha for possession of 1.6 kg of methamphetamine.
The 40-year-old was arrested during a raid at Elele Alimini town of Emuoha Local Government Area on Monday. Aside from the illicit substance, N650,700 cash was also recovered from him.
This was disclosed by the spokesman of the Rivers State command of the agency, Emmanuel Ogbumgbada, who said the suspect is “currently at the detention facility” of the NDLEA in Rivers State and is “undergoing investigation”.
Ogbumgbada also disclosed that the agency in Rivers State “successfully convicted 21 drug dealers at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt” in the month of October.
He said the convicted persons “are serving various jail terms at the Correctional Service Centre, Port Harcourt”.
He further noted: “The Agency arrested 21 suspects comprising 19 males and 2 females with a total seizure of 424.72kg of illicit drugs such as cocaine, heroin, Cannabis sativa and methamphetamine aka Mkpuru Mmiri and other psychotropic substances such as Tramadol and Swinol
