A dispute over a N200 piece of meat turned deadly in Adamawa State after a man fatally stabbed his elder brother during an argument. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Waltadi community, Dumne, Song Local Government Area.
The suspect, Monday Murya, a butcher, stabbed his older brother, Friday Murya, after a heated altercation over the unpaid meat. The situation escalated when Friday took the meat without payment, leading to a confrontation. In the midst of the fight, their elder brother, Sinairu Murya, attempted to intervene but was also stabbed.
Eyewitnesses reported that Monday became furious after Friday refused to pay for the meat. As tempers flared, the argument quickly turned violent, resulting in Monday using a sharp object to stab Friday.
