Man United sees World Cup hat-trick hero as ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo
According to Fichajes, Manchester United have identified 2022 FIFA World Cup hat-trick hero Goncalo Ramos as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
Ramos, who is currently on loan at Benfica, is said to be worth around €50 million.
He currently has three and a half years left on his Benfica contract, and Man United are interested in signing him soon after Ronaldo’s departure.
Remember that when the 2022/23 season began, Ronaldo was in the final year of his contract at Manchester United.
The 37-year-old attempted to leave in the summer, but nothing came of it.
It took an explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan to push Manchester United over the edge and start the process of Cristiano Ronaldo’s premature departure.
The two parties mutually agreed to part ways last month.
Man United appear to have assigned the job to Ronaldo’s international teammate.
