Medical Student, Winfred Opha, Fatally Stãbbed By Boyfriend At Her Birthday Party

Tragedy struck during a birthday celebration in Kanyakine, Imenti South, Meru County as a medical student was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in the early hours of Sunday, July 9. The police in the area have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to reports, Winfred Opha had organized a party that began on Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning.
However, the situation took a devastating turn when her boyfriend unexpectedly arrived and found her in the company of another man, as confirmed by acting area chief Humphrey Mugambi.
An altercation broke out as a result, leading to Opha being stabbed multiple times, including in the neck, chest, and stomach.
Tragically, she passed away at the scene. The violent incident also left three other students injured.
Authorities from the Nkubu Police Station are actively pursuing leads in order to locate the perpetrator, who is rumored to have fled back to Nairobi. The search for the individual responsible for this heinous act continues.
