Meeting with Tinubu: Wike, Fubara refuse to greet each other
Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, and Governor Siminalayi Fubara reportedly snubbed each other when they met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday.
The two politicians, key figures in the ongoing Rivers state political crisis, were part of a delegation from Ogoni discussing the potential resumption of oil production in Ogoniland.
According to sources, although Wike and Fubara posed for a photograph with the President, they didn’t exchange pleasantries, with no hugs or greetings. This apparent tension between them highlights the depth of the political rift in Rivers state.
The meeting’s focus on Ogoniland’s oil production suggests that the discussion was crucial for the region’s economic development.
However, the evident animosity between Wike and Fubara may complicate future collaborations and decision-making processes.
