Members, Lagos4Lagos movement have rejoined the APC.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
On Thursday, approximately 5,000 members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, who received the defectors, stated, “It is possible for anyone to be misled, but it would be folly to continue in the wrong direction after discovering the right path.”
Hamzat, who presented the defectors with APC flags, praised them for retracing their steps, saying they would not be sorry.
“The state is moving in the right direction,” he added. This is the correct choice. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has a talent for recognizing talent and the ability to manage people. This is the time to elect someone who knows the way. It’s a good thing you went back in time. I have to tell you that you made the correct decision.
“People are what make towns, cities, and countries great.” I am delighted that you have recognized the importance of supporting Asiwaju.”
State Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi thanked the defectors for deciding to join the progressives’ family.”
He stated that the APC-led administration has prioritized residents’ well-being and improved infrastructure.
Idowu Daramola, who led the defectors, stated that they returned to the APC because the Lagos4Lagos Movement’s leader, Jide Adediran, disappointed them after they switched to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Daramola, Adediran’s Diaspora leader, claimed Adediran was not accountable to Diaspora supporters and financiers after contributing to the movement’s cause. He also claimed that the PDP governorship candidate did not consult with Diaspora members before selecting actress Funke Akindele as his running mate.
He went on to say that the election of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate altered the political equations, prompting the group’s return.
“We supported Jandor because we believed he had a vision, but it was not what we expected.” The presidential ticket of Asiwaju changed our minds once more. When Asiwaju received the APC presidential ticket, we had to move to support him.
“This is an excellent opportunity for any Lagos resident and the Yoruba nation to support Tinubu.” “We told everyone that we needed to turn around because we realized we were going in the wrong direction,” he added.
