Moreno drags Ronaldo over recent comments Man Utd, Ten Hag
By Adeleye Kunle
Alejandro Moreno, a former LA Galaxy forward, has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo for his recent comments about Manchester United and their manager, Erik ten Hag.
Moreno claimed Ronaldo used his comments against Man United and Ten Hag to gain favor with the fans and keep himself in the spotlight.
Ronaldo recently gave an exclusive interview to veteran British journalist Piers Morgan in which he slammed Manchester United and Ten Hag.
The Portuguese captain claimed that Manchester United had betrayed him and that he did not respect Ten Hag.
Moreno told ESPN FC that Ronaldo did the interview in order to keep himself in the spotlight, and that the 37-year-old was not speaking out of love for Manchester United:
“Ronaldo knows he’s no longer the player he once was,” Moreno said. “The evidence is now in front of him, not because he’s not out there playing, but because he’s not out there playing and that team is winning without him.” As a result, that is the true dagger.
“The fact that the team looks better without him on the field is the one that truly hurts.” And that will create the feeling that, well, now I have to speak up because I know my time is running out.
