My popularity haunting my opponents- Mulade

***Warns NDPW from maligning Leaders in Warri South West.
Says he’s not part of godfatherism politics
A front line contender for the seat of Warri South-West Constituency into the Delta State House of Assembly in the 2019 poll, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has said that his continuous popularity among people of Warri South-West local government area and beyond is attracting the highest level of fear to his opponents who are already feeling haunted by the ever increasing popularity he is enjoying in the area.
Comrade Mulade was reacting to a purported report from a group — Niger Delta Political Watch (NDPW), describing the group as baseless and faceless that has no bearing.
The group gave the House of Assembly hopeful a 21 day ultimatum to withdraw from the race and also remove his bill boards from Ogbe-Ijoh, Isaba and Diebiri. The statement was accredited to one Bonty Arede and Tarematare Igwe.
According to him;”It is worth of note that I do not have any political Godfather or Godmother but I have God Almighty as my father in the race. To say the least, this same group of people in an article called our revered leaders, High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo alias Tompolo and the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. (Dcn) Kingsley Otuaro, all sort of names and made inflammatory statements against them to an extent of telling the world that, Tompolo sent the Deputy Governor to India to muscle more powers to control Governor Okowa led government in his hiding place which l, Comrade Sheriff Mulade rebuffed the said article”.
The Warri South-West local government House of Assembly aspirant pointed out that the same so-called group and individuals gave him 21 day ultimate for him to remove his campaign materials and discontinue his political ambition as aspirant for the Warri South West, House of Assembly, accusing the Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro and Tompolo for sponsoring his political ambition.
He asserted “Let me remind the so-called Niger Delta Political Watch, NDPW, and their sponsors that Warri South-West does not belong to a particularly people alone”, adding that Warri South-West local government area belong to Ijaws and Itsekiris in Delta State.
He noted that at one time or the order every axis has enjoyed political appointments, saying that;” Your allegation that Tompolo and Barrister Kingsley Otuaro are backing my house of Assembly ambition is false, baseless and existing only in your imagination”.
“l, Comrade Sherrif Mulade do not believe in political godfather or godmother and I am not a sponsored or proposed impose candidate on the people of Warri South West to serve the interest of few but I am an independent candidate under our great party PDP to served the interest of all for Peace, my people called on me to represent them in the House of Assembly because they are very much aware that I know their pains as a grassroot politician who has a listening ears and knows their pains”, he stated.
Comrade Sheriff Mulade used the opportunity to called on the so-called Niger Delta Political Watch, NDPW, and their sponsors to stop what he referred to as “madness and character assassination” of his person and other highly respected leaders.
He implored the so-called Niger Delta Political Watch, NDPW, and their sponsors to tender unreserved apology for sponsoring false and malicious article against my person.
