National Honour On Sylva an Endorsement for Hardwork – Sen. Degi

Senator representing Bayelsa East and chairman senate committee on Host Communities producing oil and gas Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo has commended president Muhammadu Buhari and the 2022 National Awards Committee ffor recognising the contributions of the minister of state for Petroleum resources, Chief Timipre Sylva as COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF NIGER, CON.

Senator Degi recalled the various contributions of chief Sylva the Petroleum Sector good governance and Security in the Niger Delta region.
“Chief Sylva played a critical role in actualising the amnesty programme with the ultimate restoration of peace in the Niger Delta various legacy projects in Bayelsa state as governor and tremendous reforms in the Oil and Gas industry, including the actualisation of the petroleum industry Act, these are just few of his modest achievements”, senator Degi added.
Senator Degi is confident that with this honour, Chief Sylva is spurred to do more the the Nigerian nation.
He congratulates Chief Sylva for making the entire Ijaw nation proud and also projecting Nigeria on a positive light at the global stage and prayed for the Award recipient for God’s wisdom and protection as he continuous to make contributions to nationsl development.
