NCPC tasks INEC on credible election, says 2023 upliftment year for Nigeria

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev Dr Yakubu Pam has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure a credible, free and fair elections in the 2023 general elections.
Rev Pam also asked Nigerians to embrace the new year with excitement, describing 2023 as a special year for the country.
The statement was contained in a press release signed by the Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka, and made available to journalists in Abuja.
The NCPC boss affirmed it is a year of God’s divine mercy and upliftment for Nigeria.
“In the new year if we look up to God, trust in him, he will surely grant us divine directions to follow as a people and as a nation”, he said.
While urging Nigerians to be hopeful and trust in the Lord for his promises on the nation, which according to him must surely come to pass, Rev Pam tasked Nigerians to rise up and engage in productive activities in order to actualize the full measure of God’s blessings.
The cleric further tasked Nigerians to participate in the electioneering process and ensure they cast their votes in the forthcoming general election.
While calling on the church leaders and Imams to preach peace to their followers, the cleric urged them to encourage their members to participate in the forthcoming general elections
