NDIC recovers depositors N8.3bn from banks in 11 months

The Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Mr. Bello Hassan has disclosed that it recovered depositors’ N8.3billion naira from different banks.Also, the Corporation resolved 248 complaints between January to November, 2022.He made the disclosure during the Corporation’s special day at the 43rd Kano International Trade Fair held on Thursday.According to Hassan, NDIC in the period under review, had received a wide range of complaints, including unauthorised withdrawals, Point of Sales, POS, fraud, charges and fees issues.He stated that the NDIC’s platforms for reporting complaints are active for the effective usage of all Nigerians.He said, “I am happy to inform you that between January and November 2022, the Corporation has successfully resolved 248 complaints and helped depositors recover over N8.3billion from their respective banks
