Nedun Onuoha kicks against Chelsea’s latest target
Adeleye Kunle Reports
Nedum Onuoha, a former Manchester City defender, has questioned Chelsea’s expected £50 million bid for Everton’s Anthony Gordon, TrackNews reports.
Gordon, according to Onuoha, has no place in the Chelsea squad.
According to reports in England, the Blues are planning to make a second offer for Gordon, this time for £50 million.
Onuoha sees no reason for the Blues to sign Gordon because he does not fit into Thomas Tuchel’s tactics.
Onuoha compares Gordon to Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has struggled to break into the Blues’ first team.
“He’s a big prospect,” Onuoha told Track News. “But it’s £50 million for a prospect.” “Right now, I can’t put him in this Chelsea team and see where he fits.”
“I’m not sure Anthony Gordon is at this time.”
“He doesn’t fit in with today’s style of play.” [Callum Hudson-Odoi] is a younger version of Anthony Gordon who is unable to make the team.
