New Naira notes: How CBN deceived Buhari – Oshiomhole
A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole has claimed that the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, deceived President Muhammadu Buhari with the redesign of the Naira notes.
Oshiomhole, speaking on Channels Television’s ‘The 2023 Verdict’ aired on Sunday, claimed that the policy was aimed at scuttling this month’s presidential election.
The former Edo State governor, however, exonerated Buhari from any blame.
According to him, the CBN sold an anti-corruption motive to Buhari, which made the president approve the policy.

“The President Buhari that I know will have no difficulty in agreeing,” Oshiomhole said
