New naira notes look fake – Pastor Giwa drops shocking update
Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has criticized the design of the new naira notes.
The cleric, who described the move as “brainless”, said the notes “look fake and ugly”.
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, unveiled the banknotes redesigned by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Pastor Giwa noted that a country is known by the quality of its currency.
“The new N500 is just like the old N200 in color while the new N500 is the same as N10 in color.
“I am not yet convinced that the new naira notes can increase the value of our currency.
“Can they reduce the prices of garri, rice or beans?”, his statement asked.
Giwa called the redesign another failed project by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the ruling party had put Nigeria “in a state of confusion and unprecedented hardship” since 2015.
The cleric added that no one grabs a thing with deceit and lies “and expects to succeed
