3 missing in Taraba boat mishap
No fewer than three persons have been declared missing in a boat mishap that happened in Ibi Local Government Council of Taraba State.
The mishap which occurred on Thursday in Damper village of Ibi Council, was said to have occurred while the boat was conveying passengers to a local market.
The council’s caretaker chairman, Bala Bako, confirmed the tragedy, and said three persons were missing while several occupants of the ill-fated boat were rescued.
A source from the community told newsmen the boat capsized when it hit a tree under the water.
When contacted for confirmation, the Taraba State Police Command spokesperson said the command has not been adequately briefed on the accident
