Attention Drawn to Unwarranted Attack on NNPC Executive VP, Mrs. Oritsemeyinwa Eyesan
Attention has been drawn to a recent attack on Mrs. Oritsemeyinwa Eyesan, Executive Vice President of Upstream at NNPC Limited, by a group calling themselves the Niger Delta Stakeholders Forum.
This hastily assembled organization has launched a campaign of misinformation aimed at discrediting Mrs. Eyesan and inciting both the presidency and the public for selfish interests.
The allegations that Mrs. Eyesan plotted the removal of NNPC Group CEO, Mr. Mele, and attempted to use the First Lady to achieve this goal have been categorically dismissed as false and senseless.

Leaders and stakeholders from the Niger Delta have expressed their support for Mrs. Eyesan. They emphasize the importance of unity and progress in the region, recalling the lessons learned from past crises such as the Ogoni crisis that led to the death of Ken Saro-Wiwa and other patriots, as well as the Warri and Ijaw/Ilaje crises.
They assert that efforts to undermine their talented sons and daughters will be met with strong resistance.
Comrade Joseph Angodeme Evah, Founder and President of the notable Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG) and Publicity Secretary of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), has highlighted the significant contributions of Niger Delta women, from the colonial era to the present. Notable figures include Margret Ekpo, Julie Coker, Prof. Grace Alele-Williams, and Justice Mary Odili. Mrs. Eyesan is celebrated as one of the finest professionals from the region, known for her hard work and dedication.
Her exceptional career and contributions to the NNPC have been highlighted as proof of her capabilities and integrity. Stakeholders have expressed their pride in her achievements and have called for her protection and goodwill from all Niger Deltans.
“The CV of Mrs. Eyesan shows that she is an exceptional professional,” said Comrade Evah. “She deserves every patriotic Niger Deltan’s protection and goodwill.”
The commitment to a united Niger Delta remains firm, with leaders emphasizing that division will only lead to downfall. They remind everyone that any injury to one is an injury to all.
“Niger Delta people are like the Americans and Israelites of today— ‘ANY INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL,’” Evah stated.
The stakeholders also reject the notion that the president and the First Lady will be swayed by such baseless allegations, given their extensive experiences in public life.
“The president and the First Lady will never succumb to the antics of blackmailers,” Evah concluded.
