Bandits kidnap two APC women leaders, others in Kaduna
Bandits reportedly abducted two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, along the Manini flashpoint in Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Chairman, Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union, Ishaq Kasai, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the two women leaders were kidnapped on the day of inauguration of the new Government in Kaduna.
According to him, the bandits took the two women into the forest.
Apart from the women, the chairman said scores of other victims were kidnapped.
He identified the abducted women leaders as Hajiya Lami Awarware and her assistant, Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu.
The chairman said the abductors were yet to contact them for ransom.
However, the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige is yet to confirm the incident
