A Yenagoa-based legal practitioner and human rights activist, Mr. Ebikebuna Aluzu, has accused Becky Buodeigha, aka Becky Minaj, owner of BM Secrets, of “lying through her teeth” in the ongoing legal tussle with Baraza Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited.

It will be recalled that properties belonging to Baraza were recovered from her father’s residence in Nedugo, Bayelsa State, following the execution of a writ of attachment and sale granted to Baraza in an ex parte motion given by Justice E. G. Omukoro of a Bayelsa State High Court sitting in Yenagoa.

But in a post on his Facebook page, the lawyer noted that the lifestyle portrayed by “baddies” such as Becky is not all rosy.

According to him, “they hide behind male generosity to claim independence, boss chick, and whatever appellation they use to make themselves feel good.”

“The truth is, these girls never get any respect from the rich, powerful men who entertain them because they know they’re of no value whatsoever.”

Aluzu, who stated that at no time has Arc. Miebi Bribena, CEO of Baraza, come out openly to admit being in any form of relationship with Becky, further stressed that she never misses an opportunity to allege that she was in a relationship with him.

“She doesn’t even have a case with Miebi Bribena but with Baraza Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, which is a corporate entity. A juristic person. You can see from the court documents.

“You have been waiting for someone to come and take his chairs, yet you went to court for 2 years to claim these luxury chairs as yours.

“Two good years. Enough time for a woman to conceive, deliver, take in again, and deliver. All you would have done was to admit the claim of the Cooperative, and summary judgment would have been entered.

“Or better still, return the chairs voluntarily. It’s hard to maintain a lifestyle you aren’t used to. These are the kind of women young girls aspire to be like. There is really nothing to admire from the life of a baddie,” he said.

The lawyer, who stated that she converted “generator, chairs, and even the house of a company of which her so-called ‘intimate friend’ is the Director,” highlighted that in civil jurisprudence, it is conversion but in criminal jurisprudence, it is called stealing by conversion.

“She even denied under oath that she doesn’t know where these furnitures were kept. After the furniture had been recovered by the court, she said she was waiting for him to come and collect them.”
