Bayelsa Comrades Family Commends Governor Diri for Investment in Social Capital

The Bayelsa Comrades Family graciously commend His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State for massive investment genuinely on social capital Nationally and Internationally to attract development to Bayelsa State .

We are commending the Governor for been very proactive and prudent in the management of the Common Wealth of our dear State on trust given him by Bayelsans globally on a mandate democratically.

The organisation haven its leadership led by revered unionist and activist to project governance and unite leaders of very high reputation of our dear State in Board of Patrons/Matrons, annexing their ideas of different backgrounds to benefit the State and her people through partnerships. Perhaps it is in purview of responsibility to draw the attention of the Governor of our dear State on certain issues of concerns.

We saw the need to draw the attention of the Governor cutdown trips internationally and to focus more back in the State , to supervise his people oriented and award winning projects centred massively on industrialising the State. Because no one else in his government can better suppervise or monitor his projects better than himself, who is the bearer of the government and image of Prosperity with integrity in the face of our dear State.

While we draw the attention of the Governor to have reappraisal of his gazetted trips outside the Country, we want the Governor to be mindful of the his Journeys that election petition cases are not yet over in the Competent Court and as such his Journeys may be trap for him, as the trips abroad or Nationally should be put on hold to enable him focus on delivering on his mandate to the people of Bayelsa State, as we are scared continuously for detractors not to set him up, to further to throw the State into crises of impeachment or removal of the Governor from people within and outside his political party or government to frustrate him for completing his second tenure or continuity.

We know that this piece of advice of precautions which came to the Governor through the Bayelsa Comrades Family leadership, may offend the detractors to our common peace as a State, as Bayelsans have enjoyed much peace and development through the leader of the Prosperity Government. We encourage Bayelsans dissolve personal sentiments , political party affiliations, religious belief sentiments and language sentiments for the peace, unity and progress of Bayelsa State.

Furthermore, we like to draw the attention of the Governor that long visits outside the State Nationally or Internationally, would also slow the pace of developments and distort the boost of Small medium Scale Businesses in the State, as approvals to choices and sensitive projects documents for Ministries, MDA’s and Agencies would be delayed to hinder commercial activities in the State, to further increase the hardship of Bayelsans to access basic life. Your Excellency Sir, we do not have industries here in the State to boost economic activities for cushioning the pressure of Bayelsans from over dependence on government as a Civil Servant State.

Your Excellency Sir, it would also interest you to know that some other Ministries whose Commissioners are yet to be appointed, may also be finding it difficult to take frantic decisions in their respective Ministries to advance your government, as securing of approvals from your office to boost commercial activities in the State would apparently be made very difficult and also Ministerial Bank Accounts are yet to be functional as Commissioners are yet to be appointed.

Thus there are also several other appointments to be made with your kind approvals which includes; Special Advisers(S.A), Director Generals(D.G), Reappointment of Boards & Commissions , Technical Advisers(T.A), Senior Special Assistant(SSA), Technical Assistant(T.A) very many are yet to be appointed with engagement to move the state forward and reduce hardship in the State . As we would continuously commend your benevolence to the service of Bayelsa State and her people.

We do believe that if Your Excellency spent more time in the State frequently, His Excellency would feel the impulse of economy of State and see the glaring hunger in the faces of his people, which His Excellency would be compassionate enough to release more massive appointments to breach the gap of suffering of the people. Your Excellency Sir sincerely speaking the economy of the country is very hatch this days, as it affects the survival chances of Bayelsans which is excruciating with continous inflation of transportation and commodities of goods commercially.

Convincingly, we unequivocally use the medium to commend the most dependable Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State ever, His Excellency, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for his dedication to humanity in service to our dear State, holding brief for Government in the absence of the Governor of Bayelsa State. He is exemplary in his duties and very dependable leader supporting the peace and harmony of Bayelsa State genuinely with His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State to allow development to thrive as we cannot have any better Deputy Governor like the one His Excellency had serving him and the State genuinely, may God Almighty continue to bless you for your humility to the service of Bayelsa State.

We therefore call on all interest groups in the last governorship general elections to embrace peace, and to see that elections as a win win for all of us to come together as one to develop Bayelsa State with the current government in place at the level of the State and National. Let us all jettison our sentiments and personal interest, by dissolving them to a collective interest that would move us forward as people and State in brotherhood of love.

However, we reiterate our commitments to the Government of Bayelsa State and Nigeria, to continuously support her programme by promoting peace among people and project the crusade for good governance. We will continue to pray for the Office of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State to succeed, being that the Office remains Grand Patron of Bayelsa Comrades Family, as we believe the mandate of the Governor of a State is to appraise Democracy in management of the common wealth of people in trust, with prudence to attract investors for further enhancement of employment opportunities in facilitation and boosting of economic activities of the State.
