Former Senate President David Mark Calls On Federal Govt To Tackle Rising Insecurity
In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Paul Mumeh, in Kano on Tuesday, Former Senate President David Mark has urged President Bola Tinubu to reassess the nation’s security architecture, advocating for a more proactive and strategic approach to address prevailing challenges…
Mark emphasized the need for a thorough review to identify vulnerabilities and formulate effective measures to curb insecurity. He pointed to the recent incidents in Plateau, where numerous citizens were brutally massacred, as a stark reminder of the urgent attention required to tackle the security crisis.
Citing the alarming situation, Mark urged for the declaration of a security emergency, emphasizing that any measures taken to halt the ongoing loss of lives would be justified. He called upon both the Federal Government and security agencies to intensify their efforts, expressing concern that life has become remarkably devalued in Nigeria.
