Former Labor Minister. Musa Gwadabe died at the age of 86, according to a close relative of the late minister, Nasiru Gwadabe Gwadabe, who died on Tuesday night in Kano after battling sickness.

Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, a notable elder statesman and former Minister of Employment, Labour, and Productivity, died at the age of 86.

Gwadabe died on Tuesday night in Kano after a long illness, according to sources.

Nasiru Gwadabe, a close relative of the late minister, verified the news to the media and stated that the burial prayers for the deceased will be performed at his apartment off Maiduguri road in Kano on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

Gwadabe was appointed as Minister of Solid Minerals Development under President Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure in 1999 before being reallocated to the Ministry of Employment, Labour, and Productivity.

He was also the Kano State Government’s Secretary during the late Sabo Bakin Zuwo’s tenure, and he served on various boards.

Gwadabe was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Board Chairman of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) until his death. His 12 children, great-grandchildren, and other relatives survive him.

Many Nigerians have lamented Gwadabe’s death, remembering him as a dedicated public servant who made important contributions to the country’s progress during his lifetime. His passing is a significant loss for his family, friends, and the whole Nigerian political community.
