Labour Party Chairman Vows to Take Over Power, Promises Quality Leadership

Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has expressed determination to lead the party to victory in Nigeria’s political landscape and deliver quality governance to the people.
He made this assertion during a press briefing in Umuahia, Abia State, following a meeting with Governor Alex Otti and members of the LP’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Abure stated, “We will not rest until we are able to take over government and provide the people quality leadership that will work for the country.”
He emphasized the need for effective leadership to address Nigeria’s challenges, particularly in areas such as the petroleum sector, where the country exports crude oil but imports refined products at high costs.

Highlighting the current economic hardships faced by Nigerians, Abure criticized the incumbent government, stating, “Today, you can see that Nigeria is not moving as it should. A bag of rice sells for N120,000 while the minimum wage is N30,000.
Liife has become very difficult in Nigeria; security challenges are enormous; inflation is very high; unemployment is increasing.”
He pledged that under the Labour Party’s leadership, there would be a concerted effort to combat poverty, hunger, and other pressing issues affecting Nigerians.
Abure promised a leadership that would empathize with the people and work towards their liberation from the current hardships they face.
Abure’s declaration underscores the Labour Party’s determination to provide an alternative political platform in Nigeria, with a focus on addressing the country’s socio-economic challenges and delivering good governance to the people.
