Labour leader, Keir Starmer who is effectively the Prime Minister-elect, reacted to the victory while addressing supporters at a victory rally in London. He said: “A mandate like this comes with a great responsibility”.
Starmer, while promising what he called a national renewal, said: “Today we start the next chapter — begin the work of change, the mission of national renewal and start to rebuild our country”.
